Such wonderful, warm memories I have of my teaching days with Lou! Lou, Gary Reed, Fran Boyden, Mary Miller VanderMolen, Gale DeKleine, and I laughed over many a lunch period, and Lou's keen sense of humor and quick wit helped us through the stresses of many days. His van was always a welcomed sight during our MS strikes, too! As a Special Ed teacher during those days, I always appreciated Lou's willingness to work with my students, always expecting high quality, yet understanding limitations with a caring demeanor also. Lou was our loving curmudgeon on staff, and we marvelled at his sterling artistic abilities in the classroom and with the kids on stage. Our students benefitted so much from his talents--I will always remember the set models he had the kids create in the Stagecraft class--how creative! My life was greatly enriched by his presence and friendship in so many ways. Lou was a great educator, artist, and community contributor, and his life was testimony to a life well-lived.##imported-begin##Sue Zack##imported-end##
