Frank Anthony Drabczyk, Jr.'s Obituary
Mr. Frank Anthony Drabczyk, Jr., age 76, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016 in Spring Lake, Michigan. He was born in Wyandotte, Michigan on March 21, 1940 to Frank Anthony and Anna (Grabowski) Drabczyk, Sr. and moved to Grand Haven at the age of two. He attended Peach Plains Elementary, St. Patrick’s, and graduated from Grand Haven High School in 1959. Frank went on to work at Gardner Denver where he met and later married the former Sandra Nelson on May 7, 1966 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. They lived in Milwaukee, WI for a short time before moving back to Michigan in the spring of 1972, and then to the Grand Rapids area in 1973. In April of 2002 he retired from Keeler Brass and moved to the Muskegon area. Frank was an active member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and was active at Love INC. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, golfing and rides by the beach. He loved his family and enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s activities. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; three sons, Frank (Kelle) Drabczyk, III, Wm. Brian Drabczyk and Erik Drabczyk; four grandchildren, Chelsea, Zakary, Julia and Jarret; brother, Anthony (Anne) Drabczyk and sister, Diane Maihofer. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Bob Maihofer. Frank’s MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 2:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2016 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. James R. VanderLaan presiding. VISITATION will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, June 16, 2016 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565 and from 1-2 PM Friday at St. Francis.
