I recall Uncle Frank as a man whom served his country his whole adult life first in the service then as a mail carrier. I also remember his gifts of homemade Grandfather clocks, the second one I think was about 5 feet tall, that he gave to us and we had in our living room in Youngstown NY, when I was growing up. When he would visit he would repair it or adjust it as needed within a short time after arrival. When I visited Muskegon Uncle Frank and Aunt Rachel were gracious hosts and would not let me drive anywhere and made sure I was well fed, truly rolling out the red carpet and making feel right at home. Lastly Rachel and Frank liked to travel and visited regularly, including one memorable visit to Minneapolis where we ate Lebanese food together and I took them around to see the sites.
I send my Condolences and best wishes to Aunt Rachel, my cousins and the entire Hutchinson family.
Very Sincerely yours,
Douglas Pryce- Minneapolis
As a former daughter-in- law (Bonnie).......Frank was a faithful man he loved Rachel (his wife) of 68 years his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren he provided selflessly for his family working as a mail-carrier for some 30 years....thru all kinds of weather... winter, spring, summer and fall.... and dare I not say he probably walked hundreds of miles thru his letter caring days....(wonder exactly how many shoes/boots he wore out!) My fondest memory of him was his ability to make Grandfather Clocks from scratch and he made all his kids one...Mine I still enjoy daily (so each quarter hour it chimes it will remind me of him.... He also made Curio Cabinets of which I have also....Although his humor was sometimes dry...it was OK that was Frank!!.I've know the man for almost 50 years (and I can say that)....and he ALWAYS had a smile for me whenever we were together (in spite of being Dutch)!! You R.I.P. now (Dad) tell (Danny) his Mom misses him greatly and will ONE Day be reunited again......??
Peggy,
So sorry for you loss. My heart goes out to you and your family, There isn't a time that I drive down Apple Ave. that I don't look over at your parents house and remember them and your family.
Prayers to you and yours.
