Frank O. Hutchison's Obituary
Mr. Frank O. Hutchison, age 89, passed away at his home on Tuesday morning, December 10, 2013. He was born May 5, 1924 in Muskegon to James and Effie (Williams) Hutchison; and had resided in the area most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement in 1983, Frank had been a Letter Carrier for 30 years; and was a member of VFW Post # 446 and of the N.L.C.A. He enjoyed wood working. On November 11, 1945 he married the former Rachel Hodge and together celebrated 68 years of marriage. SURVIVORS include his wife, Rachel; 5 children, Nancy (Gene) Bordeaux of Norton Shores, Steven “Hutch” Hutchison of Muskegon Heights, Peggy (Robert) Carr of Fruitport, Rebecca (Gary) Goosen of Spring Lake and Lillian (Chris) VanderSlute of Muskegon; 9 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Daniel Steven Hutchison; 1 brother, Kenneth and 2 sisters, Lois LeRoux and Katherine Sanford. SERVICES and Military Rites will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, December 14, 2013 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49444 (231-798-1100) with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION with Frank’s family will be 6-8PM Friday. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
