Mr. Fred Joseph Lesica's Obituary
Fred J. Lesica, age 72, passed away at the Poppen Residence on December 25, 2018, surrounded by his family. He was born June 23, 1946 in Manistique, Michigan to Joyce and Ferdinand Lesica. He served his country as a Second Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. Fred graduated from Manistique High and was a 1973 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School, practicing law in Muskegon for 45 years. He was a member of St. Frances de Sales Catholic Church, Muskegon Exchange Club and the Muskegon Bar Association.
He married the former Kil Sun Han on October 25, 1973. Fred is survived by his children Paul (AJ) and Sarah (Jerry); grandchild Carter; step grandchild Darrin; sister Marie (Terry); brother Jim (Debi); several nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends Steve Griswold, Ed Krysch, Larry Maxwell and Rick Stockhill. He was preceded in death by his wife Kil Sun, parents, and brother George.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Saturday, December 29, 2018 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken St., with Rev Fr. Charles D. Hall presiding. Visitation will be from 6–8 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave. (231-726-5210) with full military rites at 7PM under the auspices of VFW Muskegon County Council. Visitation will also be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. A private burial will be held at South Casnovia Cemetery.
