Steph, Nick, Alex, and Jill - I'm so sorry for your loss. I know it must've been so hard to see someone as tough as your dad/husband in such a weakened state. I was the City Manager for the City of Muskegon Heights form 1994 until 2006. Fred and I ended up spending many hours together. Despite our roles being adversarial, I beleive our relationship was cordial and friendly. We often had many discussions off the record where I had a chance to enjoy his sense of humor.
