Gayla LaReine Kilgroe's Obituary
Gayla LaReine Kilgroe, age 54, of Grand Haven passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2014, in her home. She was born June 1, 1959, in Kingston, New York to Clinton and Alberta (Garrett) Hawes.
Gayla was a very active member of St. Patrick-St. Anthony Catholic Church in Grand Haven. She was also a very loving mother, daughter and friend.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Rachel Kilgroe of Grand Haven; three sons: Kenneth Kilgroe of Cary, NC; Michael (Yan) Kilgroe of Brooklyn, New York; Alex Kilgroe of Grand Haven; her parents, Clinton and Alberta Hawes of Cary, NC, mother- and father-in-law, Dr. Louisa and Jim Kilgroe of Cary, NC; two sisters, Becky (Dana) Johnson of Kensington, MD and Jeanette (Danny) Redman of Stuart, VA; her brother, Wardlow (Sharyon) Hawes of Scotland, UK; and four loving nieces.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at St. Patrick- St. Anthony Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. William Langlois as celebrant. Friends may meet with the family one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions to the Kilgroe Education Fund at Talmer West Bank in Grand Haven are appreciated.
