George Lambourne's Obituary
Mr. George Lambourne, age 65, of Grand Haven passed away unexpectedly Monday, November 12, 2018. He was born February 26, 1953 in Amherst, OH to James and Jaqueline Lambourne. On July 24, 1976 he married Barb Best in Columbus, OH, and together they enjoyed 42 years of marriage.
George was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Grand Haven Eagles. He enjoyed photography, listening to music, and watching college football and spending time with his grandchildren. George retired from Johnson and Johnson. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Barb; two children, Jennifer (Jeff) Lynn of Ferrysburg and Scott (Laura) Lambourne of Grand Haven; three grandchildren: Ava Lambourne, Josiah, and Shiloh Lynn; three step-grandchildren; two sisters, Karen Lambourne and Becky Steward; brother, Ken Lambourne; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jaqueline.
Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Friday, November 16, 2018 at The VanZantwick Chapel (620 Washington Ave.) with Rev. Scott Stanley officiating. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Lake Forest Cemetery. In honor of George’s father, who battled Alzheimer’s disease, the family suggests that memorial contributions in memory of George be given to The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
