George Arthur Guy Stanhope's Obituary
Mr. George Arthur Guy Stanhope, age 78, passed away in Lowell, Michigan on Saturday, June 6, 2026. He was born in Boyne City, Michigan on August 14,1947 to Hugh and Georgina (Reece) Stanhope. George married the former Marilyn Spencer on September 9, 1967 and they enjoyed 26 years of marriage prior to her passing on August 19, 1993. He was employed as a millwright for Howmet Aerospace for 48 years prior to his retirement in 2005. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, wrenching on cars, and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. He is survived by his children, Daniel (Angela West) Stanhope and Jennifer (Michael Jones) Jendritz; five grandchildren, Spencer Stanhope, Emma Stanhope, Connor Jendritz, Ava Jendritz, and Georgia Jendritz; and siblings-in-law, David Cole and Carol Stanhope. In addition to his wife, Marilyn, George was preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Steven Jendritz; and siblings, James Stanhope, and Twila Cole.
