George William Neuman's Obituary
Mr. George W. Neuman, at the age of 93, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2010 at Arden Courts in Bingham Farms, MI. He was born in Muskegon Heights, MI to William and Hanna Neuman on October 12, 1916. He was joined in marriage to Elsie Garnaat on August 19, 1939, who preceded him in death. His brothers Raymond and Robert also preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, James (Patria) Neuman and his daughter Susan Csernits, his grandchildren, Todd (Brenda), Ryan, Garrick Neuman, Brett (Marina) and Michelle Csernits and his great-grandchildren Alyssa Neuman, Hannah Christensen, and Cameron Csernits. George, also, leaves behind his very good friends, Roy and Theresa Farrell. He was employed by Sears as a Division Manager for 35 years before retiring in 1984. George’s passion was for travel. He and Elsie created a lifetime of memories visiting all fifty states mainly following the back roads. He was a devoted parishioner of St. Mark Lutheran Church and an equally devoted father, grandfather, and friend. The funeral service will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church, Pastor Mark Zimmerman officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Norton Shores Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Mark Lutheran Church, 4475 Henry Street, Muskegon, MI 49441.
