Jerry was a big part of Merritt especially during deer season. He will be missed by many. Prayer's for his family.
Jerry wes a really nice person he would come up at deer season and chat with the guys the night before opening day. then come to the farm about noon to see what the guys got. He loved Claras fudge and she would make it for him at Christmas time. We would make baked goods for him to take back home and Judie sent up her yummy snowball cookies. This so surprising to hear this today. You will be missed Jerry and talking to you at tax time. Thank you for being a good friend. Rest easy friend.

Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. Got to know Jerry at Winston and sure enjoyed his company. I'd stop by the office once in a while for a visit and always enjoyed bumping into him at the store or where ever. Truly a gift to anyone who knew him.
I was a friend of Jerry’s from church. I always enjoyed talking to him. He was a very likable man and I will miss him.

Mr. Meyering (Jerry) was always full of life and energy. He always had time to chat when he saw you in the office and enjoyed talking guns and hunting. He’s now reunited with buddies Jack (Kroeze) and Cecil (Garvey) and I’m sure it was a great reunion.
Our deepest condolences to the Meyering family at the loss of your Dad/Papa.

Ross, Dean & your families, Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy to you in the loss of your dad. He was a great guy and will be missed by many. Larry's first taste of funeral service was one afternoon when your dad offered to take him for a ride in a flower van. Lar was about 15 and hanging around on his bike watching a funeral procession, and Jerry was working for Witt Funeral Home at the time on the corner of Peck and Houston. Your dad shouted to him out of the van window, "Hey, you want to hop in and go for a ride?" You didn't have to ask Larry twice!" Away they both went, and he made Lar's day! He seemed to always enjoy making peoples' day
