I knew Gerry and Shar through the Relay for Life, Cancer Society Committee. They were pillars of strength throughout their cancer experiences.
Gerry always had a kind word for everyone. He will be missed by many.

Gerry and Shar Lunt and I became friends all working together on the local committee for the American Cancer Society.
They got me going on camping and there are fun stories of our first campout with the Tobers and others up at The Bridge.
Both Gerry and Shar were such delightful and inspirational people to know! We all spent many happy hours talking &, always, laughing.
They are both kept in our hearts, remaing beacons of faith and courage for everyone who knew them. They are deeply missed.

As I was growing up, I always thought of Gerry as my "BIG" brother. Big brothers are great to have........they seem to be the one with a band aid when you scrape your knees, they fill you in on the best way to play "scrub baseball and they teach you how to ride a two wheeler! I still get on my bike "like a boy" Mother would tell him and Ted to "watch over Rosemary" and he never stopped......no matter the distance or the problem. Gerry was of "the old school" always a gentleman and an all around good guy.....he never stopped being my "big" brother in all ways. I don't even know what to say to the three of you, I wish I could mend your broken hearts. I wish Shar and Gerry could have stayed with us for a longer period of time. But, God wanted the two of them with him and who are we to go against God. They both worked hard all their lives and now it is time for them to reap their reward. They are together. Sometimes I am crying because
I miss them and I can remember so many memories. Sometimes I am crying because I am so happy for them to be able to be in the company of God forever with no aches, pains, or cancer. Knowing that God takes you when your work is done here on Earth. They accomplished so much, they were able to help shape their grandchildren and they raised three wonderful boys. They left to great daughter-in-laws, who are alot like Sharlene. A faint sound of Gerry's guitar will probably be heard through the church walls on Sundays. They were both pillars of their community and of the church. What a wonderful and fulfilling job they did. Who knows now that their work is done maybe they are up in heaven playing parchesse. We have two more Guardian Angels looking over our shoulder and keeping us out of harms way. How lucky we are. They are together hand and hand. Gerry, Shar and the Lunt Family have always been part of our "family" for may years..., we will miss Gerry's delightful sense of humor, his uplifting attitude, and sense of calming. We will always be grateful for having known someone who is so generous with "hugs", kind words and of course "homemade" cookies for his dental office friends every 6 months. Gerry made the world a better place...thank you Gerry!!
