Gerard Lunt's Obituary
Gerard Joseph Lunt, age 68, of Spring Lake passed away Sunday, April 23, 2006, at his residence. He was born May 25, 1937, to Edward and Grace (Sullivan) Lunt in Weymouth, MA; and he married Sharlene Ann Champagne on October 15, 1960, in Zilwaukee, MI. She passed away October 15, 2005. Mr. Lunt was a graduate of Bay City Junior College and served in the US Navy. He worked for Quality Stores, Inc. for 22 years, retiring as operations manager in 1999. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Grand Haven; and he enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include three sons, Gregory (Dianne) Lunt of Nunica, David (Colleen) Lunt of Spring Lake, Robert Lunt of Spring Lake; 11 grandchildren; a sister Rosemary (Jerald) Lehr of Clinton Twp., MI; two brothers, Edward A. (Kathleen) Lunt of Midland, and Peter (Melissa) Lunt of Fairfax, VA; also nieces and nephews.
A funeral liturgy will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church with Rev. William Langlois as celebrant. Friends may meet the family 4-7 p.m., with a scripture service at 6:30 p.m., Thursday at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Military Rites will be provided under the auspices of the American Legion-Charles Conklin Post 28. Interment will be in Lake Forest Cemetery.
