May God bless Aunt Gert's loved ones with the "Peace That Passes All Understanding",
just knowing she is at peace in Heaven and singing praises to the Lord in her new comfortable, pain free body.
I remember her wonderful laugh and happiness when all the family were together for celebrations.
I remember stopping by her house in 1960, when Jim and I decided to get married, and hoping they would think it was a good idea. We hadn't run it past our folks yet.
She and Uncle Dale were so happy for us and supportive.

Dear Cousins,
My heart goes out to all of you. I have such wonderful memories of going to your house every Christmas Eve for family get togethers! Hanging out with all my cousins, while the folks played cards. And remember the summer family reunions at Aunt Dorothy's? Playing badminton, running around and getting in trouble. Uncle Hank's outhouse!! Hang onto the wonderful memories of your mom. That's what gets us through these times.

Linda, Gayle & Dale,
So sorry for your loss. Your mom was very special and my favorite resident. Gertie could certainly make me lfamilyaugh while embarrassing any family member that was with her. Gertie always spoke what was on her mind and you always knew where you stood with her. One time in peculiar she embarrassed a granddaughter so bad, I think she wanted
to crawl under her grandma's wheelchair. I have so many memories of Gertie, I will never forget her.

Gertie will truly be missed and remembered by her Brookhaven family.
