Mrs. Gloria D. Teuling's Obituary
Mrs. Gloria Darleen Teuling, age 91, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 27, 2015 in Grand Haven, MI. She was born in Detroit, MI on February 10, 1924 to Philip H. and Mabel (Swanson) Sprecher. Gloria, also called “Mrs. T.” and “Aunt Zu” by her friends and family, graduated from Fort Wayne Bible Institute with a major in Bible and Music. While there, she met Rev. Dingeman T. Teuling, and they were married on June 1, 1945 in Detroit, MI. They spent the first five years of their marriage in a traveling ministry before having children. Gloria then devoted her time to raising their three children, the majority of the time alone, as Ding continued to travel. Gloria was a member of the Muskegon Woman’s Club and was an active member of the Little Black Lake Church where she was involved in youth ministry and played the piano. Gloria spent numerous years teaching piano, and she will be remembered as a friend to all. After their children were grown, Gloria re-joined her husband for the next 25 years in their traveling ministry. She is survived by her husband of nearly 70 years, Dingeman T. Teuling; three children, Linda Teuling-Stuteville, Rev. David (Rosa) Teuling and Cristie (Mark) Faltinowski; five grandchildren, Benjamin (Jessica) Faltinowski, Nathan Faltinowski, Melissa (Shawn) Jensen, Gabriel Isaac Teuling and Grace Alethea Teuling; six great-grandchildren, Jocelyn, Savanah, Dominic, Carolyn, Kamden and Luke; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Philip Sprecher, Jr. and one son-in-law, David Stuteville. A CELEBRATION OF GLORIA’S LIFE will be 2:00 PM Sunday, May 3, 2015 at First Congregational Church (3212 Pontaluna Road, Fruitport, MI) with Rev. David Teuling officiating. VISITATION with Gloria’s family will be immediately following the service.
