Goldie Marie Miller's Obituary
Mrs. Goldie Marie Miller, age 85, passed away on Valentines Day, February 14, 2010 at her home in Muskegon. She was born in Louisville, OH on August 16, 1924 to Homer and Dora (Steffy) Culler and had lived in Muskegon since 1945. Mrs. Miller had been employed by Shaw Walker for 19 years before retiring in 1980 and she attended Wolf Lake Baptist Church. On November 28, 1945, Goldie married Jewell S. Miller in Hartville, OH and he preceded her in death on October 24, 2008. She is survived by 5 children, Barbara J. (Richard) Valencourt of Ypsilanti, MI, Gerald L. (Bonnie) Miller, Jewell Eugene “Gene” (Carol) Miller, Ellen L. (Mike) Lautenschleger, and Thomas D. (JoAnn) Miller all of Muskegon; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mable (Harold) Anstine of Hartville, OH and special friend, Mary Beishuizen. In addition to her husband, Goldie was preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters. SERVICES will be 10:00AM Thursday, February 18, 2010 at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor Adam Cheek officiating. VISITATION will be from 4:00-7:00PM Wednesday. INTERMENT will be in Big Prairie Everett Cemetery. MEMORIALS in Mrs. Miller’s name may be made to Mercy VNS Hospice.
