Gordon L. "Oss" Wilder's Obituary
Mr. Gordon L. “Oss” Wilder, age 76, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, July 6, 2005. He was born February 9, 1929 in Muskegon to Hazen and Elsie (Drenth) Wilder and had resided in the Muskegon area all of his life. After his father passed away, his mother remarried, and he was raised by his step-father, Alfred Lambert. Mr. Wilder was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was the maintenance and transportation supervisor for the Oakridge School system for 25 years before his retirement in 1991. He was also the Senior Coordinator for G and K Wilder and Associates. Mr. Wilder was a member of Fellowship Reformed Church, where he served as an Elder and Deacon. He was also an avid sports fan, loved to spend time with his family, and also enjoyed spending time at his cottage. On July 16, 1955, he married the former Kathleen A. Gelderloos in Muskegon, and she preceded him in death on October 17, 1989. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Craig (Shawna) Wilder of Kalamazoo, Kristine Koetje of Fremont; and 7 grandchildren, Kortnie (Kelly) Karp, Kandra and Jathan Koetje, Chase, Carson, Conlan, and Macy Wilder. He was also preceded in death by his brother, George Wilder. SERVICES will be 10:00 AM Saturday at Fellowship Reformed Church (4200 Apple Ave.) with Rev. Greg VanderMeer officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION will be from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Friday at
