My prayers go out to you and your family as some time has gone by since Harry's death. May the Lord comfort you and fill your life in the quiet times and lonely times. I hope that you feel His presence and fullness every moment of your life. Continue to enjoy the gift God has given you in literature! I still enjoy reading each and every night and think of you ever so often.
From Orchard Ave. to grade school to high school and than Calvin, a best friend and a apartment mate for 2 years at Calvin. So sorry to hear this news and sorry not to have seen more of Char and Harry in recent years. Still remember the Sikkenga trailer parked in our Prospect Bay, NS driveway in 1976. Best teacher ever at Mona Shores! I’ll never forget him asking me if he should be worried that I discovered where he lived. It took me a while to understand his concern was being tp’d. I still think about what a great teacher he was when I drive past his house.
Thinking of you Charyn and Mrs. Sikkenga. Mr. Sikkenga was a wonderful man who was incredibly passionate about the rights of teachers and of students to receive adequate budget allocations so that the State of Mi remained a strong public education state.
