I think I have a memory of your father/grandfather that most of you may not know. Back in the early 1960s he was my mother's (Anna Mae Hartman) supervisor. Mom (the mother of 6 children) had been fighting breast cancer for at least five years and was a key punch operator at Brunswick. When her illness made it increasingly difficult for her to continue working she turned in her resignation. Your dad refused to accept it and instead put her on disability leave, thus enabling her to continue her health insurance. This saved our family a lot of money as mom's medical bill increased and enabled my Dad to provide better care for her and the rest of us. We never forgot his kindness and generosity, even though fifty years have passed. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. MaryAnne Hartman Maycroft
