Mr. Harry J. Holstrom's Obituary
Harry Joseph Holstrom, age 97, passed away Monday, March 23, 2015 at Poppen Hospice Residence. He was born on February 2, 1918 in Manistique, MI. He moved to Muskegon following his high school graduation. Harry worked at Brunswick Corporation for 46 years, retiring in 1982. On October 28, 1944 he married Elsie Kvarnberg; who preceded him in death in 2007. Harry enjoyed dancing, traveling to Florida, cards and bingo, especially if he was winning. The joy of his life was his family. He is survived by his children, Tom (Cris) Holstrom of Spring Lake, Pat (Ed) Schroeder of Muskegon; granddaughters, Abigail Holstrom, Beth (Tom) Monaweck, Anne Schroeder (Jason Aerts), Phoebe Schroeder (Matt Borushko); great granddaughter, Almira Scout Borushko; and sister, Clara Kartes. A VISITATION for Harry will be held Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 6-8:00pm at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. (231-759-8565). A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at 2:00pm at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231-798-1100). Burial will take place at a later date.
