I happened upon this beautifully worded memorial while engaged in family research regarding the Topping family (Helen Vink (then Swanson) was married to my grandfather Ora Topping.
I'm sorry that I missed an opportunity to touch base with Hazel - I'm sure she would have been a great source of family history information and great stories. Many thoughts and prayers being sent far and wide to the Erdmann family. I remember going to Mr. & Mrs. Erdmann's when Connie & Jesse lived in the "backyard" and swimming in the pool......well really floating while Mr. & Mrs. chatted with us about what was going on the world. Just so many great memories....fishing.....garage sales.....waving as Mr. & Mrs. came and went. As we near the completion of our first holiday without "Mom" I count the many blessings that I take away as her eldest daughter. She made me the person I am today. I learned to be strong yet sensitive, to watch and listen but also to stand up for a belief. I learned to give to those that need, to take comfort in nature and our pets and most of all to love God.
