Helen was "Mom" to us and always will be. Mom loved life and did so much for those around her. Our last conversations centered around her inability to do things for herself and the frustration she felt. I reminded her that she did so much for her husbands that preceded her, including her last one, my father John Cassady. So now it was her time to be helped. She will long be remembered as a woman who truly cared for all of God's children, regardless of their color or faith. We will certainly miss her but know with certainty that she is in a better place. As a friend of Ron and Bob Friedman I knew Helen for the past 60 some years and knew how she overcame tribulations.
She was highly respected by all that knew her for being a strong,brave woman who faced widowhood inthe 40's with a bravery seldom seen today. Helen was of the old school that took matters into her own hands,demanded excellence from her children and herself and America would be better off today if we had more people likeHelen.
