You have and will always be in my heart.
I'll miss the way you said, Oh Tim, when I would tease you, in the many ways I did.
You brought me so much joy and happiness.
There are so many great memories.
One that stands out, is when we were discussing worldly things one day, on many topics, and when I was leaving you said, "There, we solved all the worlds problems!".
You made me laugh so much. I cannot remember any occasion, at any time in my life, that you made me sad or cry.
To me it's amazing that I had a person in my life that I can make that statement about.
You were one of a kind Grandma.
I'll never forget your face, your smile, your laugh, but most of all, your love.
Grandma Norton was a true pilar of the Norton family. She wasn't just a grandparent by name alone. Most of my childhood memories involve Grandma Norton. Grandma had her friends and hobbies but she was always a hard worker and always made time for family, not to mention all of the wonderful family meals, handmade quilts, huge trays of homemade cinnamon rolls fresh from the oven with extra icing and peanut clusters from the freezer. I believe my sweet tooth as well as love of cooking and baking definitely came from Grandma's influence. She always had a great sense of humor, a contagious laugh and a zest for life. She taught me to sew, embroider and how to play solitaire, cribbage and backgammon. I worked in the school kitchen in middle school where I learned the value of hard work and also got seconds on desserts for myself and friends. I will forever cherish the childhood memories that I have and I can only hope to be as wonderful of a grandma as she was and that someday my grandkids will think of me as fondly. She is definitely an angel in Heaven because she was an angel to many while here, especially to me and my oldest son when he was a baby. Grandma is a perfect example of how to leave a lasting legacy of love and her spirit will carry on for generations to come through memories, the wisdom she shared and how she was as close to perfection as anyone could hope for in a grandma. It's funny that I catch myself thinking of her every time I wash out a ziplock freezer bag and hang it to dry, bake cinnamon rolls or any desserts for that matter, teach kids to play cards and cook big family meals. This shows that you will live on through all of us who are left behind for now. You will be in our hearts forever. ❤️
Aunt Helen was one of the most wonderful, lovely and happy people I have known. She was so sweet, it was infectous. She was my father's twin sister, and they were quite the pair. She will be missed by all . Heaven is better place with her there. Love and best wishes to the family. Shelly
