What a blessing Herb and Jean were to my Dad, Chuck Richards, when he lived at American House. Dad really enjoyed eating with him, talking with him, and discussing spiritual things with him. He often told me what a kind, bright, and enjoyable man he was. Even though you were officially retired from pastoral ministry, thank you both for sharing God's love and ministering to him and our whole family in a special, God-ordained way! We are praying for you Jean, and rejoice with the promise of Heaven for Herb!!

Pastor Graupner married my husband and me on November 18, 1967. We went through marriage classes with him. He baptized all of my children. He will be greatly missed. Condolences to the family. 🙏

Rev. Graupner was our Pastor during the time we lived in Muskegon and I am saddened to hear of his passing. My late husband Charles "Chuck" Hutchison and I were married by him in 1965. Later, when Chuck and I were called to join Lutheran Bible Translators and work in Liberia, West Africa during the 70ies he was a tremendous help to us. From the very beginning he was keenly interested in the work of Bible Translation and Literacy. He, together with the Trinity congregation and the Muskegon Circuit, saw to it that we had the necessary financial support for our mission; he also helped in many practical matters and in the ongoing prayer support. He played a vital role to our family during the time we were abroad and also later during Chuck's illness and death. We are forever thankful for all he did.
It was always good to meet him again on my visits to my daughters in Muskegon and to meet his wife Jeannie.
My sincere condolences go out to the whole family at this time. Rev. Graupner served his God with dedication and faithfulness and never lost his sense of humor. May he rest in peace.
