We were very sad to learn of the passing of Horace. In 1972 he built the first house we ever owned, a raised rancher a few doors down from where he and Beryl lived. A friendly old dog used to come with him while he was working on it. We lived there 29 years and loved every minute of it.
We also liked to take our two daughters to the Frosty Boy that Horace ran near the Causeway. Once in a while he would feature a Pajama Night when people would get a discount if they came to buy ice cream in their pajamas. Our girls loved it and so did we.
Horace was a WWII veteran, a member of the "greatest generation." We are sorry for your loss and proud to have known such a fine man.
