Dear Dorothy and Family,
My sincere sympathy to you all upon the death of Howard. I enjoyed being his neighbor. One of my recollections was one winter day when - with Josie Wenk and Mike and Betsy and a carload of groceries - I attempted to drive up the slippery driveway. About halfway up, the card stopped and started to slide backward. Halfway down it did a donut and wound up going forward down the driveway. Howard was standing at the bottom of his drive. Without much ado, he said, "Only a woman could pull that out." I admired the way he cared for his aunt while she was a resident of The Hume Home. A good man - sadly missed.##imported-begin##Barb Wenk##imported-end##
