Mrs. Idabell (Near) Tinsley, age 107, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021, in Muskegon. She was born July 8, 1913 to Grover and Blanche (Shaw) Near in Muskegon, and lived most of her life here. She had been an active member at the Read Obituary
Idabell was my second cousin. She and my mother Maxine Kirchenbauer Andersen grew up together and she was like an older sister to my mom. Oh the stories those to shared when they got together. I loved you and will miss you always. Patty Andersen Lieb
Idabell and my mother-in-law Amy were best friends for many years. Idabell was always fun to be with and taught me how to do many crafts. She helped serve our wedding meal with her sister Bea. As a Hospice volunteer, I would stop and see her when I visited my other patients. Dan and I were privileged to share in her 106th birthday celebration. She was a very special lady.
Our memories of Isabella are precious. My sisters and I always enjoyed visiting her at the Home. She loved to tell us about my mother Lee Weenum and all about theiir skits at church and how she took care of my sister Becky and my brother David when they were young. We enjoyed celebrating her birthdays at the Home. Lots of laugh and love for all of us. We were blessed to have had her shining light in our lives. Her grandson was always happy to see us also. You may not remember us, we knew you and Carol back here in Grand Haven. I knew that you had moved away, but lost touch. So sorry to hear of your mom's passing. What a wonderful, long life she had. Thinking of you at this difficult time.
