Ida was a dear lady. Alway's bringing donuts and sweet rolls to my Children. I will never forget her.She was a very sweet neighbor.Alway's ready to visit and made Her way across the street quite often. A very nice memory. There were many years we didn't see each
other, but I'm thankful that Retta and I were able to see you the last 4 years. As you said, it took a long time but we finally were together again. You were a very special person and like a mom to me. This is not goodbye, but until we meet again. We love you so very much.

Ida will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was a wonderful example of Christ living in her, she radiated her Savior's love! I remember when I was going through a rough time in my life and she would send me cards of encouragement, they always made me feel better and made my day. Some of my fondest memories involve Aunt Ida...from visits upstairs at the Lakeside Department Store to after school visits with her and Uncle George. Cookies from the bakery and Christmas Eve with way too many sweets and handmade slippers by the door....My wedding day -- made all the more special because Aunt Ida and Uncle George shared their love and advice for a long and happy marriage. Always, a hug and a "Hi Darlin'!" and I will miss her so much. What a gracious and loving person Ida was! We will always remember her as a smiling and caring senior saint who loved her Lord and loved to serve others. And, what a cook!
