Ida T. Borgeson's Obituary
Mrs. Ida T. Borgeson, age 86, went home with the Lord on Monday, January 8, 2007. She was born August 31, 1920 in Effie, Louisiana to Samuel and Olevia (Crooks) Smith, and came to the Muskegon area in 1945. Mrs. Borgeson worked at the Lakeside Department Store for 22 years until 1978, and then at Ryke’s Bakery for 17 years until her retirement at the age of 75. Mrs. Borgeson was a long-standing member of Calvary Church and of the DeColores Family. Once a month she still met with the Lakeside Department Store Girls. On April 5, 1941 Ida married George Borgeson of Muskegon. He preceded her in death on September 14, 2001. SURVIVORS include1 son, Roger and Keiren (Caughey) Borgeson of Kalamazoo; 2 brothers, Pete (Kathryn) Smith of Pineville, LA, Ferrell (Allie) Smith of Muskegon; sister-in-law, Ruby Jean Smith of Marksville, LA; many nieces and nephews; and “special kids”, Kevin and Jennifer Welp, Curtis and Loretta Paul. She was also preceded in death by 1 son, Mark Allen Borgeson; 2 brothers, Carl and Sam Smith; and 3 sisters, Ethylen Langston, Lena Dudley, and Pearly Sands. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Friday at the Calvary Church Chapel with Pastor Terry Fulk officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION at
