I remember Ila, as "Speedy Sue". I lived on Martin Rd. growing up, and she was our bus driver. It was the best bus to ride to and from school on, because there were several of us girls who always sat way in the back, and we sung our hearts out, coming and going.
And we could get pretty loud. I don't recall her ever telling us NOT to sing.

I met Grandma Atkins when my friend Shelley invited me to spend Thanksgiving with the family. She was a sweet lady that enjoyed talking and sharing moments with you. Rest in peace, Suzie.
Grandma Atkins lived across the street from us growing up. In addition to being my best friend's grandmother, she was the best neighbor ever. Even our cat, Penny, would go across the street to visit her.
