Ilah M. McCully's Obituary
Mrs. Ilah M. McCully, age 85, passed away Sunday afternoon, October 19, 2003 in Muskegon. She was born June 16, 1918 in McBride, MI, and came to Muskegon in 1962. She was a teacher for 29 years with both the Mona Shores and Orchard View schools, and was a member of the NEA and the MEA. She married Harry B. McCully on March 28, 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1990. SURVIVORS include 4 children, Bonnie Radakovitz of Norton Shores, Sherry McCully of Muskegon, Sharon (Russell) Vest of Twin Lake, Harry (Sherri Slater) McCully of Muskegon; 8 grandchildren, Mike R., Shelli, Russ Jr., John, Tia, Michael, Kathleen, and Daniel; 14 great grandchildren; 1 brother, George Cooper of FL. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers and 1 sister. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday at the Samuel Lutheran Church, with Rev. Chris Anderson officiating. A TIME OF GATHERING with the family will be from 6-8 PM Wednesday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210.
