I just want to send my deepest love and sympathy to Irene's wonderful family. And I would like to thank-you from the bottom of my heart for sharing this most amazing woman with me and the rest of the Christian Care family. We were all so blessed to have had her in our lives even for too short of a time. We all loved and adore her so much. And personally I feel so grateful to have known her and have spent the special time with her that I did. I loved my Jitterbug so much and will do so for all eternity. It was an honor that she called me her third daughter. Jitterbug and I formed a special bond from the beginning...one that will last forever. Mom, you helped me write this poem one stormy evening when we worried about the birds out in the raging wind and snow. You taught me that Jesus walks with us on our journey everyday and does not forsake us. It was one of your favorites, so I offer it in your sweet memory.

TELL ME MAMA

Tell me Mama,
Where do the little birds sleep at night,
when winter is raging and no moon is in sight?

Is it under the eaves of our house where they hide?
Do they sleep in the bushes in our yard outside?
Maybe they huddle in the blue spruce,
or cuddle together in the old chicken roost.

I wish so much we could bring them in!
Now, wouldn’t that make a delightful din?
Here in our house, all cozy and warm
the little bird music would wake us at dawn.

Birds on our fingers and birds on our toes
they’d all flock together in neat birdie rows
and sing us a song of the coming Spring.
Oh, it would be such a beautiful thing!

My child, do not worry, God watches them all,
No matter how tiny, no matter how small.
He keeps all in sight and does what is best.
He shelters all creatures when it’s time to rest.

As He watches over these sweet birdies few,
He watches over little children like you.
Just call on His name, He is always right there
