Mr. Jack R. Hopkins' Obituary
Mr. Jack R. Hopkins, 89, passed away Thursday evening, November 20, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born October 19, 1925 to Raymond and Florence (McLean) Hopkins in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Jack was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran, serving on the James Lynch and the SS Parker, and was a welder by trade. He loved woodworking and making clocks in his workshop. He belonged to the Eagles, the American Legion, and the Polish Falcons. SURVIVORS include his children, Bill (Paula) Hopkins, Jackie (Evaleen) Hopkins, Jim (Sue) Hopkins; grandchildren, Jeff (Kori) Hopkins, Jennifer (Joe) Rohrer, Chris (Kelly) Hopkins, Tony Hopkins, Angela (Rob) Watson; and his sister, Jeanne Baumflek. Jack was preceded in death by his former wife, Betty Hopkins, and his longtime friend, Margaret Jeannot. A celebration of Jack’s life will be held Saturday, December 13, from 1-4 PM at the Lakeside Eagles.
