You were an amazing friend to him and i thank you for that. True friends are hard to find and Blue never doubted your realness. Man you had just tried getting ahold of me man, your voice mail was still in my inbox when I heard of this, hard on the heart, hard on the mind, FDA says it happens all the time, but there is no crime, heard you started a family, its a shame you left us in your prime, you had a face for fame an the attitude to shine the most original individual I know you'll be just fine!

Unfortunately, I was out of town when Jake passed away, and I missed it in the Chronicle when I got home. I just found out today that he had passed away. I had been with Jake and his wife two weeks before at their apartment. He often called and we would get together to play cards or just talk and share stories. Since graduating from high school Jake had always kept in contact with me. I had been his choir director since he was in 6th grade.
Jake was very talented and sang beautifully and despite many obstacles in his senior year he never gave up on his singing and his "belonging" to the Vocal Jazz ensemble and Acappella II.
I am deeply saddened and my prayers are with his wife and family as well as with
Torger and Gert.

I dont even know what to say. I've know jake for years and we dated for several months while he was in the marine corp. and He was one of the sweetest guys I had ever met. He was so funny and could always bring a smile to my face. I recently lost my cousin who actually was the one who introduced jacob and I and its so hard to believe that i have lost both of them within just a few mos of each other.The last time I seen Jake was at her funeral. My heart aches for his family because i know exactly what they are going through, may jacob rest in peace and I know he will tell my cousin Amanda Curtis who just passed away in november How much I love her and that I will see the both of them again some day.

Jake played baseball like nobody's business! We could tell he loved to play. He put all of himself into it and he was a great baseball player.

We have memories of Jake since he was a young child. Like everyone says a smile that will make anyones day. We have so many good things we remember of Jake.He has always respected us as adults. Our family loved and knew his family,and enjoyed watching Jake play baseball.We even enjoyed his songs he wrote and rapped,you had to know Jake to understand his music. He was a talented young man,you had to know him to love him. As everyone knows he was loved by many.Gert and Torger words can not express how we feel,I can't imagine.Aerin and Koline I wish I could take the pain away from you,we just lost our God daughter in November who knew Jake.The lost of a love one is one of the hardest things to deal with,but remember you are not alone. You have God #1,and all your family and love ones.I'm sorry we didn't make it today,but you were in our thought and prayers.Rocky went to show our family's respect. One day I would like to see you guys and hug you all and tell you to keep your head up. Please always remember that Jake is in peace. He went to a better place,he will have no more pain or sorrows,I know that it doesn't make it easier but, that is the only thing that kept me going when I lost my brother 2 years ago and my father right before that,and just a few months ago our godaughter. I don't know his wife, and never had the pleasure to meet his son.But Big Stan saw him when he got married,and said that will be a memory he will aways hold on to. I talked to Jake and gave him a big hug and kiss when I bumped heads with him at my godaughters house before she past away.And I will always cherish that day.What I'm trying to say is,you all are not alone everyone feels your pain with you.
