We never are totally prepared or able to comprehend why someone we love so much, must be released back to the Father. Although I had never met or known Mr. Goudzwaard, I work with his wonderful daughter Joan. She is one of the most kind, down to earth, and considerate people I've ever known, and I imagine she must get some of those great qualities from her father. May he rest in peace, and may his loved ones find comfort and love in the memories shared.
Steve remembers so many Sunday nights when his family and yours got together for pizza night...they are wonderful memories of so many wonderful times. I remember Mr. Goudgzwaard as a friend of my Dad, Norman David...they went to North Muskegon High together and maintained a friendship over the years. I remember many times running into him and Mrs. G. at Russ's when my Dad and Step-Mother were there for dinner. I also remember him and Mrs. G. coming to my Dad's visitation when he died of ALS in 2005, and the tears running down Mr. Goudzwaard's face. He was a wonderful man ... and who could forget his beautiful flowers and plants. He will be terribly missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.
