James E. Ring's Obituary
James E. Ring, age 69, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Mercy Hospital. He was born on July 3, 1951 to Chester and R. Elaine (Hubbard) Ring in Muskegon. Jim was an active member of Celebration Church. He served his country in the US Army; and he had been the owner of R&K Heating and Cooling in Muskegon for over 30 years. He was an avid outdoorsman loving to hunt and fish and was a board member of the West Michigan Wildlife Association. Jim also enjoyed camping and was a long-time member of the Gold Wings Road Riders group with his wife, Sandy. On June 7, 1989, he married Sandra Ott and she survives him along with his children, James (Raquel) Ring and Alan Ring; stepdaughter, Kari (Matthew) Harburn; eight grandchildren, Austin, Bella, Jacob, Michelle, Sean, Jamie, Brock and Morgan; sister, Marcia (Rick) Smith; brothers, Wayne (Deb) Ring and Rodney (Carole) Ring and several nieces and nephews. Jim was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Cheryl; brother, Stephen Ring; and stepdaughter, Jamie Stevens. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00am Friday, April 23, 2021 at Celebration Church (1260 W. Sherman Blvd) with Pastor Matt Eenigenburg officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 4pm to 7pm Thursday evening at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444.
