Thank you Jim and Lois for not abandoning me and my children, and remaining my friend all these years. Our roadtrip on the Alaskan Highway was something special for both of us. Jim Johnson, always on a mission to help others. I will always remember Jim as someone you could count on to be there for you no matter how trivial your need may be. From the time I was a small child to our last hug in May of this year Jim was wearing a smile and looking to see if there was something he could do to help. Thanks to Jim, my sister Ruth Ann and I are now completely trained in handling the "Dump Station" at the campgrounds. (Not a pleasant task I am sure.) Proof that there wasn't anything Jim wasn't willing to do to help. Though we will miss him at the fall campout I honestly believe that his spirit will be with us just as I believe that Marge, Don, Lois, Uncle Red and any of our other relatives that have gone before us, pop in to enjoy the singing around the campfire. When memories are so strong that your mind produces faces as well as voices then you have to wonder...Is it just memories? Our sincere sympathy to Jim's family. We lived next door to Lois and Jim when our girls were just babies. Lois and Jim were Megan's first daycare providers. I knew that I never had to worry about who was caring for my child when I left for work each day. Oh how Megan loved "Jimmy". May God comfort your family during this difficult time. I've been a friend of the Crago family as long as I can remember and Jim & Lois as well. We live in California and whenever Jim passed through our area on one of his many jaunts, he would call and say Hi. Last year he stopped and stayed with us for a week. We had the best time. Judie and & I loved him and will sorely miss his great smile. We have a picture of Jim's hand holding a small bird that flew into the window.
