James R. Wells, D.O.'s Obituary
James R. Wells, D.O., age 75, of Destin, Florida and formerly of Muskegon died at his home Saturday morning, March 12, 2005. He was born December 4, 1929 in Muskegon to James V. and Stella Irene (Roy) Wells. James was a graduate of the University of Michigan and a 1956 graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine. He conducted a private medical practice for 19 years prior to entering the U.S. Air Force, as a flight surgeon and retired as a Colonel after 20 years of dedicated service. He was a member of American Osteopathic Association, BPOE Lodge No.1795, American Legion, life-member of the N.R.A, former President of Muskegon Jaycees and former member of the Muskegon General Hospital board of trustees and executive committee. SURVIVORS include his wife of 40 years, the former Ann Elliott; 5 children, Julie (David) Lincoln of Colorado Springs, CO, David (Nancy) Wells of Twin Lake, Cynthia (Marvin) Flowers of Muskegon, Patricia (Steve) Burke of Twin Lake and Joan Cole of Rockford, MI; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grand son.
