Our deepest sympathy for your loss. Jim was (and still is) one of the kindest and most compassionate men we've ever met. St Paul said, "Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ." Jim was one of the very few men you could look up to and so admire his walk with Christ, that you wanted to follow his example. He was a true father in the faith.
Our prayers and tears are with you. And our praises and joys are with the angels and saints in Heaven - an awesome man of God has gone home to be with his Savior and family where he waits for us. Our joy is that we will see him again.

I first met Jim when I came to Hackley as a staff chaplain in 1998. As everyone, I found him to be a gentle and compassionate man. He was a great help to me as I was learning of the service to our hospital through the Catholic Eucharistic Ministry in Muskegon County. I know he will be missed by his family and community. May the Lord of peace and comfort uphold you in your sorrow, and guide you with his light.
