Jan Harold Sickterman's Obituary
Jan Harold Sickterman, age 76, of Spring Lake, passed away Friday, April 18, 2025, at Medi Lodge in Holland, MI. He was born July 10, 1948, in Flint, Mi to Jack and Mary (McDonald) Sickterman.
Jan graduated from Spring Lake High School. He went on to serve his country in the Army in Vietnam, upon his return he worked in marine construction. Jan liked spending time with his friends and enjoying a few beers. He had a wicked sense of humor that was appreciated by all. He was very proud of his 50 years membership with the Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post #28 in Grand Haven.
Jan fought a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was grateful for the compassionate care he received from Spectrum Health in Muskegon, Medi Lodge, and Heartland Hospice in Holland.
Jan is survived by his brother, Gene Sickterman; and sister-in-law, Susie Sickterman. During his struggles, he was very appreciative of his close friends, Greg Johnston, Bob Sheffield, and his brother, Gene.
