Janet was always very sweet, and I can still see her smiling. She was devoted to McGraft Church Sunday School children, and that's where I met her & taught Sunday School with her mom. My mom was once the Director of Christian Education & church secretary & my mom was Janet's Sunday School teacher! My dad knew her grandfather Mr. Knudsen, very well. He lived on Palmer, close to the church. Janet was much younger then, but always a loyal fixture in the church. I was surprised years later, when my daughter's friend Natalie's mom was best friends with Janet. Also, my sister in law from 1990's was good friends with Janet! Janet babysat for many. I have this memory of Janet walking behind her toddlers in the church main aisle heading to the front of the church to make sure the kids were all lined up correctly to sing a song to the mostly elderly onlookers sitting in pews. She stayed at McGraft even after her mother died, who was also devoted to the church. She and her sister had the same Lakeside doctor Roy as me years ago & sometimes our appointments were the same time! Janet was caring, dedicated & had a heart of gold. She will be missed.
