Janet Marie Archer's Obituary
Janet Marie Archer, age 63, went to her Heavenly Home on February 28th, 2025. She was born on January 14, 1962, in Muskegon, MI, the daughter of Marvin and Lois (Knudson) Archer.
Janet was an avid Muskegon Big Reds fan. When she couldn’t be at a game, she was listening on the radio. She also had a great love for animals, but most of all she loved her family and friends and had a special relationship especially with her nieces and nephews. Janet was a member of McGraft Memorial Congregational Church (Port City Church). For many years, Janet was the primary nursery attendant at church and a Sunday School teacher. Janet was also a member of the Cherub and Follower’s Choir. Janet’s love for children was encompassing.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents and stepmother, Maurlene Archer, two brothers Scott and Michael, and two sisters Diane and Judy. She is survived by her brother Bryan (Pam), brother Ron (Leigh Ann), sister Melissa (Archer) Hood, brother-in-law Edward Jannenga, and many special nephews, nieces, and great nephews and nieces that were all near and dear to her heart. Janet had many cousins and friends including a special friend Kristi Harpe and her children who thought of her as an aunt.
A Celebration of Life service will be held for Janet on Friday, March 21st at 2:00 PM with visitation one hour prior at Unity Reformed Church 1521 Porter Rd. Norton Shores, MI 49441.
