Mrs. Janet M. Nesbitt's Obituary
Jan was a welcoming woman. Anyone could drop by for a cup of coffee, from the ever present pot, and conversation. If you needed an update on family, friends or neighbors, Jan was the one to call. She was the hub of a large group of friends and relatives. Jan’s group grew with the marriages of her and Jim’s children and the delightful birth of grandchildren: Carly Siemen, Michael Nesbitt, Danielle (Conan) Gibbs, Shane (Tricia) Nesbitt, Nicholas Nesbitt, Nicole Nesbitt, Samantha Nesbitt and Kaleigh Nesbitt. The family continued growing with the birth of four great-grandchildren: Ethan, Ana Rae, Abigail and Trenton. The kitchen was always full of cooking and baking, especially baking. Jan’s breads became famous and many reaped the benefits of her gift of fresh bread. She’ll be greatly missed by daughters Julie Siemen, Jill (Dan) Alford, and sisters, Mary (Dennis) LaFaive and Kathy Richards. Jan loved her gardens and now is walking in the garden of the Lord whom she loved dearly along with her husband Jim, sons Jimmy and Jeff, and the many loved ones who had passed on before. Jan was actively involved with Central Assembly of God in Muskegon and treasured all of the friendships that she had made there. A memorial service for Jan will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, April 11, at Central Assembly of God. Contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by the Sytsema Funeral Homes, Lee Chapel. www.sytsemafh.com
