Janette Faye DePoy's Obituary
Janette Faye DePoy, age 68, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024. She was born June 23, 1955, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania to Kayle and Margaret (Turner) DePoy. Janette graduated from Mona Shores High School in 1973 and went on to earn her certificate in the Nursing Home Administrators Program from Michigan State University. She worked several years for the Roosevelt Park Nursing Home prior to her employment as a social worker for the City of Muskegon, where she worked 29 years until her retirement in 2005. Janette was a member of Family Bible Church. She enjoyed watching crime shows on TV and word searches. Janette loved taking care of her home and could often be found on her front porch watching the world go by. But most importantly, she was proud to have raised a wonderful son, Karl DePoy. SURVIVORS include her son, Karl DePoy of Denver, CO; two brothers: Jerry (Judy) DePoy and Jim (Linda) DePoy; sister-in-law, Janice DePoy; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jack DePoy; and sister, Judy VanderKooi. A GRAVESIDE SERVICE will be held 9:30 AM Thursday, May 23, 2024 at Lakeside Cemetery. Following the graveside service, please join the family for VISITATION at the Family Bible Church from 11:00 AM – 12 Noon followed by a CELEBRATION OF JANETTE’S LIFE starting at 12 Noon.
