Jay L. Ingersoll's Obituary
Jay Lawrence Ingersoll, age 67, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Norton Shores, MI following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 15, 1954 to J.L. and Donna (McLean) Ingersoll. Jay served his country while in the United States Air Force. He married the former Rosario “Char” Domingo in California on February 5, 1977 and she survives him after 44 years together. Jay attended Central Assembly for many years and is a member of New Beginnings Church in Whitehall. He was genuinely devoted to the Lord and loved to share the hope he had in Him. Jay had a kind, generous heart and always looked to help those in need. He was quick to joke, easy to laugh and had a strong adventurous spirit. He enjoyed long motorcycle rides, hiking and helping others by finding things to fix. Jay will be missed by his wife, Char; children, Eric (Monica) Ingersoll, Kristina (Adrien) Thorne, Joshua Ingersoll, and Angela (Jerod) Crow; grandchildren, Lucy and Everett Ingersoll; Madelyn, Sophia & Anna Thorne; Haylee, Hunter & Laney Crow. He is survived by his brother, Steven Ingersoll; and sisters, Dona Wexstaff and Kathy McKee. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 28 at Central Assembly of God (896 Home St., Muskegon, MI 49442) with a luncheon to follow. Visitation with the family will be from 10:30-11:00AM. Memorial contributions in Jay's name may be directed to New Beginnings Missions.
