I will always remember Trick or Treating with Aunt Jean and family. My legs would be so tired and she would keep saying, "Just one more street, Susie." I always appreciated the extra candy from the many "one more" streets she encouraged me to take.
I will never forget Robin and I going to Disney World for the first time. Aunt Jean and Grandma made arrangements for all 8 of us to stay at the Contemporary Resort for a few days. It was magical, like being in another world. It is the Happiest Place on Earth after all!
I have always admired her and she gave me some words to live by many years ago. During a family gathering, we were visiting together and I mentioned to her that I admired that people could always count on her to attend their parties, events special occasions, etc. She replied, "I have always felt that if people think enough of me to invite me, the least I could do was show up!" Whenever possible, I always try to live by her standard and "Show Up!" Aunt Jean was a remarkable woman in many ways. She will be missed by all.
