Mrs. Jeanette Ivie Foster's Obituary
Jeanette Ivie Foster, age 74, passed away on August 10, 2015. Jeanette was born on June 13, 1941 to James and Dorothy Carden. In 1973 she married Robert Foster and together they enjoyed 41 years of marriage. Jeanette is survived by her husband Robert; children, Vickie (Robert) Murphy, Tom (Tami) Foster, Lorraine (Paul) Grabinski, Rick (Reta) Benham, Donald “Brook” Benham and Cindy (Kevin) Persons; 18 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and sister, Nancy Deephouse. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly Lynn Benham; granddaughter, Amy Flemen; parents; twin sister, Janet Chandler; and brother-in-law Tom Deephouse. She worked as a Social Worker for the majority of her career before working other jobs in her semi-retired years. Jeanette enjoyed swimming, tubing, and had a passion for singing harmony. First and foremost was always her family. She was an adventurous, selfless, honest woman who will be deeply missed. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at 11 AM on Friday August 14, 2015 at The Sytsema Chapel 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. VISITATION will be held on Thursday from 4-7 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission.
