Jeanne A. Wainwright's Obituary
Mrs. Wainwright, 92, peacefully passed away Tuesday evening, August 3, 2010. She was born in Muskegon on June 25, 1918 to Albert and Jennie (Johnson) Michelson and lived here her entire life. On October 18, 1940, Jeanne married her high school sweetheart, Frank A. Wainwright, and the two of them spent 67 wonderful years together, including 30 enjoyable winters in Florida and numerous summer weekends at Harper Lake. The Wainwright's were blessed with two wonderful children--a son Jack and daughter Suzann. Jeanne spent 20 years working for the Mona Shores Public School system, and was a member of Forest Park Covenant Church. Her engaging selfless and loving personality brought happiness and laughter to all those that were fortunate enough to share time and experience with her. Her survivors include her daughter, Suzanne (Richard) Stein of Traverse City; her two grandchildren, Eric Wainwright and Heather Jones; great-grandchild, Tanner Jones; and their mother, Marcia Wainwright all of Muskegon. There are many special nieces, nephews and caregivers, including great niece Joan Bellanger, nephews Don Wainwright, Tim Egan, John Michelson and good friend Kay Holman Eppenhimer. Jeanne was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, on April 28, 2007, and her son, Jack on November 11, 1997. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE will be held 12:00 Noon on Friday, October 1, 2010 at Forest Park Covenant Church, 3815 Henry St., Norton Shores with Rev. Paul Bengston officiating. VISITATION for family and friends will be available an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial has taken place in Norton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS my be made in Jeanne's name to Forest Park Covenant Church/EVERY KID A CAMPER (please note this in memo field), 3815 Henry St., Norton Shores, MI 49441.
