After graduation, Jeff went on to work at Meijer as a cashier and in the cash office, where he retired after 45 years of employment. Once he retired, he decided he wasn’t quite ready and went back to work part-time. When Jeff wasn’t at work you could find him playing the organ. He was known to tune the organs for local churches and museums. Music was a huge passion of his, he had a gift of being able to play by just hearing a song. He also loved research and would spend much of his time researching on his I-Pad. When his sister would go out of town, he enjoyed watching her dog, Shelby and was known as “Papa Jeff” for how close of a bond he and Shelby had.
Jeff will be remembered by his two sisters, Cynthia (John) Hofstee and Karen (Skip) Marsh; stepmom, Joyce DeGraaf; stepsister, Julie Blanchard; several nieces and nephews; and close high school friends, Ann Westerman, Marc Bowman, and Dana Evans. He was preceded in death by his parents.
