Jeffrey Allen Crowell's Obituary
Jeffrey Allen Crowell, age 74, passed away on Tuesday, December 1, 2021, at the Poppen Residence. He was born on October 4, 1947, to Jeff and Ellen (Hill) Crowell in Muskegon. Jeff proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as part of the 4th Infantry, where he received two bronze stars. After returning from his service Jeff worked in a few different positions throughout his life, such as working as a machine operator at Structural Concepts, a truck driver, and even owning his own car lot for a time. Jeff was a talented woodworker, and he also enjoyed going to yard sales. He was also very proud of the blueberry farm that his father owned in Nunica for many years. Jeff is lovingly remembered by his daughter, Aimee Crowell; granddaughter, Goldie Shaw; five brothers: Mike (Leanne), Joe (Carol), Marty, Larry, and Peter Crowell; close friend, Don Fritz; and beloved dog, Fred. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Tom Crowell. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will be taking place for Jeff from 12:00-2:00 PM on Sunday, March 27, 2022 in the Family Center of The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services (6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444). In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Jeff can be made out to The Harbor Hospice Foundation. Please sign the family’s online guestbook and share memories at www.sytsemafh.com.
